Winter progress

Tim here. Despite our wet weather, we have secured some really nice 3-grain and some really nice alfalfa. Half of it was hand stacked, and half was brought in with a squeeze – I’ll let you guess which I prefer. We’ve also been working on the perimeter fence, and we have a plethora of plans in the works for after the rainy season is done. Not all is as dark and dreary as the weather, though. Our goats have been having their kids, and they are every bit as silly as youtube would have you believe. Of course, we’re making near-daily trips into Jackson and Ione for baby-goat-having supplies, but this is our first year with this particular endeavor so I suppose that’s to be expected.

Stay warm out there, folks.
